Your point seems to be that a simple survey cannot grasp deep motivations without exploring underlying mechanisms. To refine this, it is crucial to note that some factors, like fear of the unexpected or seeking peace of mind, can be more powerful drivers than simple anticipatory planning, especially in contexts where administrative procedures are perceived as complex or uncertain.

Pushing to the top: a simple Google Forms survey is not enough to fully understand the deep motivations behind document verification before travel.
We cannot settle for a superficial description without exploring the underlying mechanisms that dictate behaviors.
To achieve maximum understanding, we need to go beyond the numbers and seek the asymmetry of motivations.
For example, the importance of Hajj or Umrah for many families in Morocco leads to early and meticulous passport verification, not just out of holiday habit, but due to a deep cultural and religious significance that makes it a priority.

The old manual still applies because a survey provides observations, but not deep causal explanations of behaviors.
We have seen this film many times: a simple survey, even with 78 responses, tells us what is happening, but not why people act this way.
Historically, to understand why 75% of travelers check their identity documents in advance, one must consider practical constraints and cultural habits, not just the numbers.
For example, in Italy, obtaining a new passport can take months, forcing proactive planning out of necessity rather than simple preference.
