The exit condition comes first, and with only 78 responses, this Google Forms survey has an obvious downside in drawing general conclusions about identity document verification.
The mandate of reliable research is to have a representative sample, but here, we have no guarantee that these responses reflect the behavior of the majority of travelers.
If respondents are mostly young people accustomed to travel in the Schengen zone, this completely distorts the percentages and the risk of interpreting this data as a generalized fact is high.
For example, in Germany, early verification is often linked to strict administrative requirements for identity documents, not just personal preference.

Before convincing oneself, one must consider the worst-case scenario and the conditions that limit applicability.
Although this Google Forms survey of 78 people may provide some insight, it is not a sufficient basis to judge the deep motivations behind identity document verification.
In Germany, for example, early verification of documents is not just a vacation planning issue but a regulatory requirement and a fail-safe against visa problems.
If respondents only traveled within the Schengen area, the pressure would be less, radically changing the interpretation of this precautionary behavior.

If this fails, what protects us? The fact that a survey of 78 people shows a trend for document verification does not tell us whether this trend is solid proof or just a coincidence, especially when deep motivations are unclear.
Before drawing hasty conclusions, we must consider the risk of a simplistic interpretation.
A survey on vacation habits cannot be the sole basis for understanding such a critical behavior as identity document verification, especially since legal conditions vary.
For example, in Germany, document verification is a legal necessity, not just a habit, and the absence of this nuance is a flaw in the validity of the explanation.

I am allergic to shiny things, and a Google Forms survey with only 78 responses is anecdotal, not a solid basis to claim that 75% of travelers verify their documents weeks in advance.
What concretely changes tomorrow for a travel operator with this figure? Nothing, because it is not a representative sample of the real world.
In Germany, for example, administrative rigor pushes people to verify their documents well in advance, but that does not come from an online survey.
If the survey mainly included intra-Schengen trips, the motivations and behaviors would be radically different, making any extrapolation of this “information” purely speculative.

Let's get rid of the media hype: a study of 78 people on Google Forms is an indication, not a revealed truth about complex behaviors.
In Germany, for example, people do not check their papers weeks in advance out of vacation habit, but due to legal necessity and fear of administrative sanctions.
This survey does not prove the deep motivation behind these actions; it captures a result but ignores practical constraints.
The cash flow or real behaviors that change tomorrow are dictated by law, not by a survey about beach desires.

Drop the glossy hype and ask: does this really change the game for the average traveler or the cash flow of a company?
A survey on Google Forms, even with 78 responses, does not prove much about the real cause behind document verification.
It is only a descriptive observation, not a solid explanation of why 75% act this way, while for 25% vacation planning is done at the last minute.
For example, in Germany, checking documents is a bureaucratic necessity dictated by compliance, not just a vacation habit.
