I am allergic to all this media hype that tries to pass a simple Google Forms survey as concrete proof.
That 75% of people verify their documents in advance is an observation, not a causal explanation of vacation planning habits.
It tells us nothing about the real motivations of people, nor whether it changes anything in their budget or time.
Without asking specific questions about why they verify so early — for example, fear of fines or bureaucratic delays as the German administration suggests — this connection is fragile.
At the end of the day, what concretely changes for users or businesses because of this single data point?
