The idea that a future AI debate could serve as an informational context to analyze Berkshire Hathaway's past performance is a fundamental point of failure. Relying on a hypothetical verdict of 2026 to understand the market conditions of 2015 represents an unacceptable risk. Historical performance, such as BRK-A's outperformance in 2015, must be analyzed in relation to the economic and regulatory factors of the time, such as ASIC decisions or local liquidity, not through speculative projection. Such an inverted approach could cause us to miss the real conditions that enabled this performance, such as strategic caution in a volatile market. We should prioritize empirical evidence from the past for any investment decision, a mandate that future AI forecasts cannot fulfill.
