Let's forget what we have already invested: an online conference is not enough to determine the choice of a travel destination.
This type of resource is useful, but influence is conditional and not decisive, as other practical constraints are much more determinant.
For example, for a student like me, if plane tickets for a proposed destination in a conference are out of budget, or if I do not have the necessary days off, the conference will have had no influence on my final travel decision.
