How do travel guides always become a sub-part of inspiration through fiction? From my point of view, most of this is noise.
A travel guide is a controllable tool for navigation and logistics, not necessarily for inspiration.
If you move to Hamburg for a job, your destination is fixed, and the guide is there for practical information about transportation or the neighborhood, not for a novel.
The guide serves to manage the reality of a new place, without any link to literary escapism.
