The healing of a paralytic is a spectacular event that can quite fragment the audience's attention, distracting them from the initial message. Imagine a regulatory announcement from the MAS on trading in cryptocurrencies being eclipsed by a major 'rug pull'; the uniformity of the message is lost. People focus on the miracle or the loss, leaving the deeper meaning behind, it's a matter of attention management.
