The idea that an event 'standardizes' the understanding of another seems simplistic; who can claim that there are no other scenarios than uniformity?
The gain table is much more complex than this linear view suggests, with varied incentives.
Each actor, whether Pharisee or disciple, evaluates miracles and teachings according to their own strategic objectives and interests.
For example, after a miracle, some will seek the power of God, others the proof of a threat, preventing any unanimous understanding.
The eventual balance is not forced uniformity, but rather the result of competitive strategies within a given information system.
