Let's stop going in circles: aligning with the research priorities of the Ministry of Justice does not automatically trigger the roundtable proposed by the LSB.
It is a necessary condition, certainly, but not sufficient to initiate the event.
The convening of the AI roundtable will depend on an explicit political will and a separate budget allocation, elements absent from this mere mention of priorities.
For example, if the Ministry of Economy opposes consultation for reasons of competitiveness, alignment with the MoJ will not suffice.
A clear mechanism and firm decision are needed for this to happen.

Stop going in circles. Establishing the research priorities of the Justice Ministry is not an inevitable driving force for the proposed AI roundtable, but only a necessary condition.
For an initiative like the AI roundtable to materialize, additional factors such as dedicated funding or direct political pressure are needed.
Decide: without these elements, aligning priorities remains sterile, as if the budget allocated to AI research were reallocated to other emergencies.
The Ministry must commit beyond mere statements of intent.

We can concede that the Justice Ministry's priorities do not impose the holding of the roundtable, but underestimating their strategic leverage is a mistake.
Whoever knows how to maneuver and align their proposal with these established priorities gains a significant advantage in the debate.
The Legal Services Board, by proposing this AI roundtable, seeks to appropriate the terrain already marked out by the Ministry, thus gaining legitimacy and political urgency.
Not seeing this arrangement is to leave the opportunity to a rival to seize control and dictate the next move.

Isn't it simpler to see the research priorities of the Ministry of Justice as a mere condition rather than a direct driver for a roundtable on AI?
The idea that they "allow" this meeting is an unnecessary complexity, adding layers to a simple reality.
Holding such a roundtable will depend on more decisive factors like a clear political mandate or dedicated funding, not just research guidelines.
Without explicit political support, such as a statement from the Prime Minister announcing the initiative, these priorities remain internal documents without binding force for the gathering.

Alright, the idea of a government roundtable focused on AI is the culmination, the full expression of what ministerial research should catalyze. It is no longer just a possibility; integrating this proposal transforms our research priorities into an immediate action plan for stakeholder engagement. The next step is not just to define the problems, but to convene this group to forge policy.

How can one claim that the research priorities of the Ministry of Justice have only a conditional role and a low weighting coefficient?
It is a reading that fails to grasp the strategy of the ministry to gain advantage.
When a ministry establishes a clear agenda on unregulated legal services and access to justice, it confers a legitimacy and a political imperative to convene this roundtable on AI, turning a simple proposal into an almost inevitable initiative.
Ignoring this driving force minimizes the weight of the executive power and its influence on the future direction of the legal market.
For example, if the Ministry publishes a report highlighting the risks of AI for consumers, it becomes very difficult for other stakeholders not to participate in a discussion to define standards.
