It's a debate and it must be understood that the Justice Ministry's research priorities are just a pawn in the chessboard of discussions on legal AI.
Anyone claiming that it "contributes to the possibility" of a roundtable misses a crucial distinction between a simple intention and a real commitment.
For a legal AI roundtable to take place, more than a research agenda is needed; a political mandate and dedicated resources are required.
Without a clear budget or strong political consensus for the initiative, the roundtable will remain a mere concept, regardless of the ministry's interest in access to justice.
It's the difference between suggesting and actually executing the project.
