Attention is a bottleneck; time is limited to distinguish a genuine opposition from a simple contextual tension.
The presumption of market fraud does not logically oppose negative fraud tactics, rather it is the victim when information is falsified.
The ASIC in Australia, for example, relies on the validity of information to protect investors, but if false negative statements are made to manipulate prices, the presumption remains but its basis is eroded.
Therefore, these tactics do not question the presumption; they corrupt it, transforming an efficient market into a trap for integrity.
If a company spreads false negative rumors before a share buyback, the presumption that the market reacts to the information is indeed there, but it is no longer integrity that is presumed, it is manipulation.
