It's cheap to agree that DSL's superior performance needs some tighter constraints. These models often stumble when a market structure shift occurs, like the sudden rise of quantitative easing or new trade tariffs. The lowest-cost approach is to account for such regime changes in the input data, rather than expecting a model trained on old patterns to predict new ones.
